Dubai Strikes Again
7 March 2023
Dubai Jeanuis struck again at Southwell winning his fifth race on the bounce. Up to a career high mark of 72 Dubai stepped up to 2 miles on the flat for the first time having run in 2 bumpers last year. Held up in rear under usual pilot Tom Eaves, Dubai made steady headway down the back straight and made his challenge 2 furlongs out. Under a hands and heals ride Dubai reached the winning line half a length clear. Well done to all concerned. Tom Eaves gave a great interview to Sky praising Michael and recalling when they worked together at Mary Reveleys 25 years ago.
